Ok i have an Asus maximus formual running 1066 2gig. I can only run the memory at a high of 1002 without it crashing. Even if i turn the mem down i can not overclock the CPU at all. Ive messed with Volts and Clicks to no avail. I have the newest bios (however i heard that getting an older bios is a fix). this is especially frustrating because i bought this comp to overclock. The computer works fine running at stock speeds but in the next six months if i dont OC i will be unable to run games at full specs. Below is my mobo and even further is a forum post on this problem with the P5E (same board but different cooling).

Devil helped me out a bit last night and a minor adjustment to a fix he suggested "seemed" to do the trick. Only time will tell, thx devil for the help. Word up son!
