(msg i wrote to steam i didn't want to rewrite it)
Several people sent me links to a steam site (at least according to the link name). Shortly there after they logged off. Shortly after i was logged off by a message that said my account had been logged into by another computer. I tried to enter my account to no avail. I ran a virus scan (nothing found), but being as i got two of the same message from my steam friends i'm sure that this is the source of my problem. I have Dod:S/CSS/HL2/HL2E1, all totaled that's $60 or more. I hope i can get this sorted out, i have a lot of money invested in steam.
So is there anything in can do? or am i pretty much out the money. Also i wont be playing cal or pubbing for a long time as i dont have the money to buy new games (nor will i if steam wont help me). Thing that sux is i just got my GTX 260 216 O.C. edition. Epic Fail

have you tried recovering your password? i think you only need your email and secret question and im almost sure your email would not be hacked, and its likely your secret question wasnt either.

If you google "Steam Support" this is the first link that comes up. If you submit everything needed in the incident report then you'll likely get your account back.

Follow their instructions to a T. provide the info they require. That's all i did and i got my shit back FAST! like 1 working day. But i think its because i actually followed their instructions rather than having them say oh well you need to give us this too. I think Concise but complete info is how to get it done (among many many other things in the world).
